The Consulate General of Ireland, Sydney, was officially opened in March 2000 by An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern. The Consulate has responsibility for passport, economic, community trade, cultural and promotion activities within New South Wales. The Consulate is staffed by two Diplomatic staff, and three locally engaged staff.
